Is what I have been working on lately. I really enjoy when I can spend more than an hour or two, and really get to know the piece. These were a few recent ones. This set of spirals is about 3 inches in diameter. I spent a lot of time on these getting the shape smooth and clean. The end result is so worth the effort.
In this set I inlayed a 40 mm strawberry quartz into a 52 mm pink ivory plug with a ring of bloodwood. I really like the light coming through the donut on these.
Here's the light shining through. Beautiful colors all around.
Lots of light here. I can't wait to see what they look like being worn. These are nothing fancy, but classy. 50 mm ebony.
Red mallee burl in cherry burl raindrops. The tear inlay was tough, but great practice. I plan on doing more like this. I was also thinking about a triple tear inlay. Anyone that may be interested in a project like that contact me. I have some really nice Australian burls among the amboyna, and afzelia I normally keep on hand. This is real tasty stuff.
53 mm bloodwood tears. These are showing off the beautiful side grain that is normally hidden on this wood. A nice sheen on these when they are oiled.
53 mm zebrawood eyelets. Very smooth finish on these.
My website does offer up to two inch in all designs, but that doesn't mean that I can't make anything larger. Contact me to see what is available. The options are still pretty vast. I really enjoy making large jewelry.
