Freeform rutilated quartz, fantasy style gem carving

This was an experimentation using non-traditional curved facets and no rules otherwise.  All facets are cut/polished by hand, and meet up properly for sharp cuts.  Managed to get a very bright piece of quartz with serious light return that changes based on the angle viewed at.

There's no set horizontal or vertical orientation although there's a girdle and faux culet so that it can be permanently set.    

Great as a collectors piece, or would make a killer pendant.  Lets see what you can come up with!  Also, please contact if you are interested in making this into a custom project, I'd love to set this fine gem.
